Deaf Hearing Communication Centre Pennsylvania School for the Deaf presents: Raising a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Child: Planting Seeds for Success. Our mission is to advocate for and promote equal communication access, educational service, cultural awareness and economic development to the Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard of hearing populations in the greater Philadelphia region and surrounding areas.

Each of our programs are designed to make immediate and measurable impact on the needs of our community. DHCC accomplishes our mission through communication access services, education and advocacy.
Services
The Deaf-Hearing Communication Centre, Inc. (DHCC) started as a result of one dedicated Deaf person's concern about the lack of services for Deaf people and their families. When the concern was shared with the President of the Woman's Club of Springfield, the two chose to launch a two-year community project called "Concern for the Deaf" in 1972.
We're focused on creating opportunities for Deaf individuals to become more participatory members of Philadelphia through work, fellowship and community activism. We provide a range of communication access programs including ASL Interpreting Services, ASL classes and other advocacy and training programs that expand accessibility.
We communicate frequently with our customers and provide general updates via email. If you're looking to hire high-quality & professional interpreters, give us a call at (610) 604-0450 or request interpreter here. We respond to RFPs and bid requests. Take exit #7 for 476 North (Blue Route). 2. From 476 North, take Exit #1 for MacDade Blvd and immediately bear right for McDade Blvd East.
DHCC Customers must have a contract on file with DHCC prior to making a sign language interpreter request. Cancelation of interpreting services must be received by DHCC with two (2) full business days' notice (not 48 hours) in between the date of cancelation and the date of service or payment of contracted hours will be required.
